Cultivating an organizational culture characterized by mutual respect and appreciation - this is the overriding principle of the Diversity Charter. In January 2021, CHG-MERIDIAN AG signed up to the Germany-wide initiative.
The Diversity Charter is an initiative of employers. It aims to promote diversity in German companies and organizations. Around 3,800 companies throughout Germany have committed to the principles of the Diversity Charter with their signatures. CHG-MERIDIAN AG has been one of them since January 2021. In doing so, the technology manager headquartered in Weingarten underscores the company's values and sets an example for a fair and colorful work culture.
Under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Charta der Vielfalt e.V. began its work as the initiative's sponsor in 2011. At the heart of the commitment is a certificate in which the signatory companies commit to the six principles of the charter. In doing so, they commit to creating a working environment that is free of prejudice and shows the same respect for all employees - regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and worldview, sexual orientation and social origin. To date, 3,800 companies with over 14 million employees have signed the document.
CHG-MERIDIAN AG has also been a supporter of the initiative since January. By signing the charter, we are acknowledging its values and sending out a public signal in support of a colorful and fair working culture. "We are a modern and progressive company and diversity therefore plays an important role for us," says Dr. Mathias Wagner, CEO of the CHG-MERIDIAN Group, about this step. "The initiative is an important element of our holistic commitment to sustainability – together with other measures and internal initiatives such as a Women's Circle. Thus, it contributes to the continuous development of our corporate identity and work culture."
