Our skilled, knowledgeable, and committed employees are our most valuable capital, and it is important to us that they are able to develop at, and contribute to, CHG-MERIDIAN. Mutual appreciation, reliability, responsibility, and transparency form the basis of our actions and our thinking. As a company, we are also committed to a diverse and fair working culture and support a wide range of initiatives for greater diversity and equal opportunities. For example, CHG-MERIDIAN signed the Diversity Charter in 2021 and its employees launched an international Women's Circle. A Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee was also established in 2023.

We believe that diversity and variety are an advantage. As far as possible, we want to offer our employees equal opportunities and support them with training and further education. Our occupational health and safety measures provide the basis for a working environment that focuses on the safety and wellbeing of our employees.
Our global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee has been active since September 2023. The DEI Committee is made up of members from Europe, Australia and North and South America. Together, they aim to strengthen diversity in the company globally and locally and raise awareness of the topic by planning and implementing relevant initiatives, such as diversity talks or anti-discrimination measures.
Around 43 percent of the more than 1,400 CHG-MERIDIAN employees are women. Since 2021, they have their own network. The idea behind the Women’s Circle is to promote international networking, dialogue, and development in a positive and professional environment. To achieve this, an international project team was set up to define the Circle’s values, mission, and targets.
“Through the Women’s Circle, we hope to support talented female employees and help them to boost their self-confidence and develop professionally. We want to learn from the expertise of the experienced women in our company and use it to encourage and inspire our female colleagues to reach their full potential.”
Social commitment is an integral part of CHG-MERIDIAN's corporate culture. As a living part of the corporate strategy, we assume responsibility in the regions in which we operate. Our activities are derived from a clear definition of the issues to be challenged and the associated goals. They focus on projects and initiatives in the areas of education, culture, social affairs and technology.
The CARE (CHG-MERIDIAN ATTENDS TO ITS REGIONAL ENVIRONMENT) initiative has enabled us to create a platform on which our employees can help to shape the details of our corporate citizenship. They contribute specific suggestions connected with their region and put them into practice as a team. For its part, the company contributes grants and resources. In this way, we share the success of our company with disadvantaged people.
As a CARE project, the annual company run in Friedrichshafen is an integral part of CHG-MERIDIAN's event calendar.

We support education providers as well as arts and community-based initiatives. Another priority area is sport, where characteristics such as team spirit, endurance, commitment, and fairness reflect our mission statement. We have been the main sponsor of the Ravensburg Towerstars ice hockey team since the 2003/4 season and with our financial backing it is routinely the top team in the second tier of the league.
